If you are ready to playCome join us and let's make games! Position Summary Within Scientific Games, Strategic Sourcing operates as a sub-function of the Global operations. The Strategic Sourcing group is a small, high functioning team focused on setting the strategy for the front-end of the supply chain. The Strategic Sourcing group determines the supply strategy, selects supply partners, negotiates commercial terms, and coordinates supplier interactions and supplier management. Under the leadership of The Senior Director Mechanical Sourcing, the PMO of Global Supplier Development will be responsible for managing the daily execution of leading the Project Management Office of the Global Contract Manufacturer sourcing project(s). This position will be highly involved in the execution part of various global Contract Manufacturer projects including but not limited to:
defining the logistics flow between worldwide Contract Manufacturer manufacturing locations and the SG Global Locations (US, AUS and EMEA), defining the warehouse strategy and future VMI plan implementation with key Tier 2 suppliers at Contract Manufacturer locations. This position will drive value steam mapping activities, cost and lead-time reduction, improve supplier quality, and mitigate supply chain risk. These projects are transformational in nature and require manufacturing, sourcing and supply chain experience, effective problem solving, and an ability to influence diverse teams. A successful candidate will have a solid background in Sourcing and Operations preferably in the Gaming Industry and will be data driven and cross-functionally minded. The candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional business partners, especially our hardware engineering team and manufacturing team. Essential Job Functions Lead daily execution of the project:
manage the PMO Work cross-functionally to define and execute the Global CM project on time and on budget. Perform Value Stream Mapping and propose solutions to better execute the project especially using a VMI approach with Tier2 suppliers 3-5 years' experience in hardware engineering sourcing in electronics or mechanical related fields. With an emphasis in direct material sourcing. 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing/operations. 3-5 years' experience in project management. 3-5 years' experience in the gaming industry preferred. Skilled negotiator. Experience with leveraged agreement. Highly results-oriented and focused on business priorities with a successful record of accomplishments. Excellent problem-solving skills - able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assesses viable solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans. Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities. Effective communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues and be able to foster collaborative relationships. Excellent analytical skills Education Bachelor's degree in electronics or mechanical or equivalent management experience. MBA preferred. APICS/NAPM, CPIM or CPM certification or equivalent preferred.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Hardware Development, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
