ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Job Description Wynn Las Vegas is the largest Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort in the world, recognized for its exceptional service and innovative experiences that continuously push the luxury hospitality industry forward. The Assistant Director of Public Relations will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing integrated public relations strategies to inform travelers about new and evolving resort amenities while maintaining impeccable brand standards, building diverse media relationships, and acting as a trusted gatekeeper to maintain and protect the Company's reputation. The Assistant Director will be based in Las Vegas at the global headquarters of Wynn Resorts, and report to the Executive Director of Public Relations with a direct line to the Chief Communications Officer. This person will create and execute integrated consumer public relations campaigns on behalf of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, as well as manage select corporate communications and development projects on behalf of Wynn Resorts. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns on behalf of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore; work in tandem with Social Media and Brand Marketing teams to identify and achieve overarching integrated campaign goals Serve as day-to-day contact with select business unit leaders (primarily from retail, meetings and conventions, weddings, spa/salon, community relations, and hotel operations), meeting regularly to plan short- and long-term integrated public relations campaigns that support business needs Assist with corporate communications efforts, including but not limited to development initiatives, annual reports creation, and Executive media interviews; respond to reporter requests for information and assist with media statements as directed Prepare thoughtful talking points, messaging, and briefing documents; accompany Executives and other resorts spokespersons to all media appearances as well as proctor all interviews Coordinate resort experiences for visiting media and VIP guests and influencers, both domestic and international; work closely with the local CVB to secure inclusion in destination-wide media coverage opportunities Create a wide range of PR/Marketing materials (press releases, statements, media kits, photo/video assets, website copy, etc.); organize press conferences, press junkets, and special events Secure and manage public relations agencies for specific projects and direct strategy as needed Represent the resort at community and business events Develop, mentor, and cross-train support staff All other duties assigned by Executive Director of Public Relations and Chief Communications Officer Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, or related field Eight years of experience working in communications, preferably within travel and hospitality Advanced writing, proofreading, and editing skills; excellent spoken communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask a variety of projects and deadlines Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated knowledge of the current media landscape and proficiency in pitching and securing a wide range of digital, print, and broadcast placements Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PR, Digital Marketing & Social MediaEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
