Summary:
This Hostess/Cashier position plays a vital role in ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience from the moment they arrive until they depart.
The ability to handle transactions, provide exceptional customer service, and assist in seating arrangements are critical for success in this role.
This is an on-call/extra position that requires full availability for day, swing, and grave shifts.
Responsible for welcoming and assisting guests, handling transactions, seating guests, and maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness.
This role requires exceptional customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assisting with Seating:
Inquire about guest seating preferences, guide guests to their desired seating areas, and inform them about the servers assigned to their table.

Assist disabled or elderly guests by seating them in easily accessible areas and making necessary arrangements.
Experience with the Infogenesis point of sale system is preferred, as it will be used for processing transactions.
Coordinate with VIP Services:
Stay in contact with VIP Services to address guest requests, questions about complimentary items (comps), and new reservations.
Ensure Procedures are Being Followed:
Monitor and enforce adherence to established procedures to maintain efficiency and consistency in restaurant operations.
Greeting Guests:
Welcome guests with a friendly and warm demeanor, creating a positive first impression for their dining experience.
Guest Feedback:
Inquire about guest satisfaction as they leave and offer comment cards to gather feedback on their dining experience.
Handling Transactions:
Safely and accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods during guest transactions.
Including but not limited to the process various types of transactions, including cash, credit card payments, comps, coupons, room charges, and gift certificates accurately and efficiently.
Take responsibility for keeping the restaurant area clean and presentable, including sweeping and tidying up the reception and waiting areas.
Ensure that menus are clean, updated, and accurate at all times.
Monitoring Dining Stations:
Keep track of which dining stations are open and the servers working in each station, ensuring balanced seating, and avoiding overloading servers.
Provide Excellent Customer Service.
Maintain a high level of customer service by attending to guests' needs and requests.
Answer any questions guests may have about the menu, specials, or restaurant services.
Queue Management:
Organize and manage the waiting queue to ensure smooth and efficient seating.
Seat guests evenly among different stations to ensure balanced workloads for servers and record all walk-in guests.
Qualifications:
Availability:
Must have full availability for day, swing, grave shifts, work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Background Check and Drug Screening:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Cash Handling:
Proficiency in handling cash and processing various forms of payment accurately.
Attention to Cleanliness:
A commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy restaurant environment.
Infogenesis POS Experience (Preferred):
Familiarity with the Infogenesis point of sale system is advantageous.
One (1) year of experience as a Food & Beverage Cashier or similar role involving cash handling.
Bilingual language skills.
Experience in a high-volume food outlet.
Familiarity with touch screen systems.
Previous experience in a similar restaurant setting.
Must be 21 years of age.
