Quality Assurance Supervisor

The purpose of this position description is to define the authority, responsibilities, duties, reporting relationships and measures of performance for the Quality Assurance Supervisor The Quality Assurance Supervisor observes, inspects, evaluates and reports to the Maintenance Manager on the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of the fleet and facilities.
Quality Assurance Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure policies and procedures are followed throughout maintenance
Reviewing daily work production from maintenance superintendents and other maintenance personnel
Develops policy and procedures that ensure compliance with all Company and Client SOPs
Track and analyze road calls, comebacks, rework of mechanics as well as related processes
Advise of any deficiencies and actions necessary to remedy those deficiencies in follow up with maintenance management team.

Reviews deficiencies with management team to ensure corrective action and or training.

Meets with Maintenance Manager daily to discuss issues leading to poor performance
Ensure information related to any changes in policy or procedures within the department
Ensure all administrative tasks are handled as required or assigned
Provide support to Directors and/or Managers as requested
Spot check electronic vehicle inspection process.

Conducts various division specific audits and assist during corporate generated audits
Assist in facility audits to ensure constant and consistent compliance
Manages the Attendance program and issues discipline as needed
Conducts a 10% rerack inspection of vehicles after PM service
Conducts and tracks monthly safety meetings for maintenance department Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to formulate and implement short and long range operating plans
Ability to inspect and evaluate all aspects of the maintenance program
Ability to inspect and evaluate all aspects of vehicle operations and safety
Analytical skills sufficient to accurately identify, evaluate and resolve operating processes both effective and ineffective.

Ability to communicate positive win-win solutions to all levels of the organization
Familiar with federal, state and local regulations
Familiar with industry standards for public transit Maintenance
Familiar with company policies and procedures
Excellent organization skills
Excellent attention to detail skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to successfully supervise subordinates
Understands the financial aspects of a multi-facetted public transit Operations and Maintenance Quality Assurance program and the impact on the overall value of the product to the Client.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma / Two year technical degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum 10 years public transit Operations and/or Maintenance and Management experience.
Reports to the Maintenance Manager and works closely with the Director of Operations and Superintendents as required During the course of employment, employees may receive and have access to confidential information.
