Job SummaryThe Wave Office/Planning Supervisor is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day waving operations of all orders at within a 1M square foot, multi-shift, high-volume, distribution center! The position will analyze order pool, lead 6-10 employees, and work with other departments to address inventory issues, order inaccuracies, etc.
Primary Job Duties Responsible for creation and efficient execution of daily waving plan for E-commerce, Retail and Wholesale orders.
Work closely with Routing and Vendor Compliance on new and existing wholesale accounts to determine the best routing and waving methods to optimize the DC efficiency while meeting customer packing/routing requirements.
Develop, implement and utilize reports that measure the wave efficiency, cancel rate, item slotting, etc.
Analyze results to mentor wavers/clerks and provide insight to leadership on wave effectiveness and expectations.
Supervise wave processing to actual processing and call out any concerns/discrepancies.
Collaborate with production department managers to discuss production forecasts and changes.
Provide leadership to 6-10 hourly associates over 3 shifts, guide team on duties that include scheduling, attendance, training and development.
Ensure employees are performing their duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Develop methods to identify and improve waving and routing opportunities.
Taking initiative to think creatively and cultivate innovation.
Reports to Planning and Production Senior ManagerQualifications Bachelor's degree, related field or equivalent experience in operations and/or order fulfillment 2
years waving/production planning experience in a leadership rolePreferred Skills:
Must be detail oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient/experience in Manhattan Open Systems, DEMATIC and MS Office (especially Excel).
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in an Omni-Channel Distribution environment processing Wholesale, Retail and E-Commerce orders.
Experienced in mentoring and coaching employees on job performance.
Experience with automation including conveyors, shuttle systems and sortation systems.
Confirmed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with all levels of management, and a multitude of departments in the organization.
Ability to demonstrate above average computer skills (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook)WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
