Security Architect


Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the organization's security architecture, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and design appropriate security controls and measures.
Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Define and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent security practices across the organization.
Develop and implement security controls for cloud-based services, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
Evaluate and select security technologies, tools, and vendors to meet organizational requirements.
Conduct security audits and assessments to monitor compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and support to development teams in implementing secure coding practices and reviewing application designs for security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and management of servers, databases, and other IT infrastructure.
Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and proactively recommend security enhancements.
Collaborate with external partners, auditors, and regulatory bodies to address security-related concerns and requirements.
Develop and deliver security awareness training and education programs to promote a culture of security within the organization.
Participate in incident response activities, including detection, containment, and recovery from security incidents.
Maintain documentation of security architecture, procedures, and guidelines.
Monitor emerging security technologies and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Proven work experience as a Security Architect or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of information security principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Experience designing and implementing security controls for network infrastructure, cloud services, and applications.
Proficiency in network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or industry-specific regulations.
Solid understanding of secure coding practices, application security, and secure SDLC.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and provide effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP, are highly desirable.
Experience in the technology manufacturing industry is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
