Overview:
The Director, Architecture is responsible for managing the consultant team developing the design through construction execution.
This role will work to ensure the consultant team produces construction documents that are complete, coordinated and incorporate the owners operational requirements.

Primary Job Duties:
Includes, but is not limited to:
Oversee the design interface communicating content contract documents to other disciplines within the Company and making sure the CD's meet the needs of the Design, Construction, Facilities, Real Estate, Purchasing, Operations and Legal Departments.
Oversee Construction team support, interpreting details, providing response to RFI's and shop drawing submittals, either directly or working with consultants to achieve goals.
Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
Architect/Engineer management of expected performance to ensure the Company's best interests are being met in an accurate and timely manner.
Oversee critical drawing review, including preliminary site design, grading, landscaping, review of survey to ensure that survey and preliminary site plan are in concert and pre-bid content Oversee and mentor architectural project management team.
Effectively supervise and direct subordinates.
Monitor subordinate performance.
Ensure that required licensing is maintained & updated.
Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
At least ten years of experience within Design & Construction.
At least five years of leadership/management experience.
At least ten years of production drawing experience.
At least five years of production drawing experience in the gaming/hospitality design field.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
Professional license to practice architecture.
Working knowledge of Auto CAD.
Excellent construction document drawings skills.
Effective communication skills with vendors as well as all levels of employees in one-on-one, small group and large group settings.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
