Network Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.
S.
Air Force, Space Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II.
JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY -- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Under general supervision of a Network Technician performs a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks involved in the installation, operations, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems.
Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
Operations and maintenance technician, working under general technical guidance, who specializes in ground-based electronic systems.
Works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following:
installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction and testing.
Oversight, design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network equipment and systems.
Performs as the network lead on network field engineering assignments.
Working across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies.
Configuring LAN/WAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructures.
Utilizing knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles.
Design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards.
Configuration of layers 2/3 networks and TDM equipment.
Interfacing with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects.
Manage, troubleshoot and repair physical and logical network infrastructure.
Configure, install and maintain routers, switches, channel banks, digital cross-connects and other network hardware DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems.
Performs as the network lead on network field engineering assignments.
Experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies.
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructures.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards.
Experience with network layers 2/3 and TDM networking equipment.
Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects.
REQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this position.
In addition, a Field Engineer II must possess the following
Qualifications:
o Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fields Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instruction Effective verbal and written communication skills Planning/organizational skills.
SALARY The expected pay range for this position is $62,400 to $104,000 annually.
The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.

WORK CONDITIONS Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards.
Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required.
Travel to remote company work locations may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
