Overview TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALSIT (OSD):
Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Specialist to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Test and Evaluation (JTE&E), Joint Program Office (JPO) supporting Joint/Joint Agency, Combatant Command, and Service joint tests and quick reaction testsResponsibilitieso Receiving VTC system reservation requirements from authorized officials and organizations.
o Plan, coordinate, and schedule conferences for a Department of the Army Schedule D VTC facility, two multi-user VTC enterprise facilities, and all desktop computer VTC devices in the headquarters.
o Review and evaluate requirements and recommend plans for obtaining the desired results or objectives of the VTC conference.
o Provide technical support in connection with VTC operations, applications, and administration to include direct coordination with remote and bridging sites.
o Initiate pre-conference preparations in accordance with customer requirements.
o Test equipment and set up room or computers to accommodate special user needs.
o Establish calls with the network operations center and/or remote stations.
o Attend VTCs in a multi-user facility to operate microphones, cameras, media projectors, and external applications.
o Review, develop, and interpret policies and procedures for the video presentation of materials, video production methods, and protocols.
o Operate the VTCs in compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, regulations, and security guidance.
o IT customer service to DoD end-users, maintaining Windows servers/workstations, and ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs.
o Load and configure Microsoft Windows workstations and servers to comply with DISA's regulations.
o Apply STIGs to the workstations and devices according to DISA's guidelines.
o Safeguarding and accounting for COMSEC materials and maintaining a JWICS network.
o Maintain and troubleshoot T1 and T3 communications lines and equipment.
o Serve as a Trusted Agent and/or personal identification number (PIN) control representative for SIPRNET and alternate tokens.
o Providing data management techniques and processes, including data collection, data validation, and data storage.
o Working with database structures and database requirements.
o Assisting project Database Managers in the development of Data Management Analysis Plans.
o Identifying automated data collection processes and systems services.
o Assisting in collection and analysis of data identified in the Integrated Data Requirements List and Test Data Requirements Matrix as directed by the project director, test analysis and reports.
o Developing, maintaining, and controlling the test data, test incident reporting, and test products database.
o Managing data certification, validation, and analysis.
o Providing Information Technology customer service to DoD end-users.
o Providing local help desk support to Joint Service Provider users for applications, connectivity, and printer troubleshooting.
o Providing in-house Audio-Visual System support, to include setup of presentations from external sourcesQualificationso Ten (10+) years' of experience required.
o Bachelor's degree in relevant field requiredo Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
o Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
o Demonstrated skills in prioritization and multi-taskingPhysical Demands:
