THE JOB:
As a Heavy-Duty Kitchen Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our commercial kitchen environment.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all kitchen equipment and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet food safety regulations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Ensure pristine cleanliness of ceilings, walls, and high-reaching areas, demonstrating proficiency in ladder use for meticulous cleaning.
Conduct thorough deep cleaning of essential kitchen equipment, including char broilers, griddles, salamanders, and deep fryers, guaranteeing optimal sanitation standards.
Efficiently manage the washing and sanitizing of pots and pans using a three-compartment sink or pot machine, maintaining a seamless workflow in the kitchen.
Handle dishware with care, diligently breaking down, spraying, and loading dishes, glassware, and flatware, returning them to their designated storage areas promptly.
Safeguard the integrity of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper usage and storage to uphold safety protocols.
Execute a meticulous cleaning process for pots and pans, from scraping and washing to sanitizing and air drying, ensuring impeccable hygiene standards.
Thoroughly sanitize and maintain various kitchen surfaces, including baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables, and cutting boards, to uphold a pristine kitchen environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as dish machines, ice machines, prep tables, and refrigerators, ensuring optimal functionality.
Handle waste disposal efficiently, separating and removing trash and garbage while adhering to biohazard cleanup protocols when necessary.
Manage linen inventories meticulously, ensuring timely removal of soiled linen to maintain cleanliness standards.
Facilitate the transportation of kitchen equipment to different areas of the property, ensuring smooth operations throughout various outlets and facilities.
Uphold the aesthetic appeal of equipment through regular polishing and maintenance, enhancing the overall cleanliness of the kitchen environment.
Adhere strictly to regulatory requirements and internal policies, including those set forth by regulatory bodies such as SNHD, OSHA, and the Fire Department.
Operate and maintain large-scale equipment such as ride-on floor scrubbers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and power washers, ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.
Complete mandatory training sessions, including those related to health and safety, as required by the company and governing entities.
Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any equipment concerns, ensuring timely resolution and smooth kitchen operations.
Preform other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Six (6) months utility porter experience in a similar resort setting.
Bilingual Experience working with cleaning chemicals.
Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel and squat.
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
