IT Principal Program Manager

We're currently seeking an IT Principal Program Manager who will collaborate closely with the IT technical teams to implement business-facing IT initiatives using life-cycle methodologies to implement various technical projects.
In this role, you will plan, organize, and implement IT projects supporting our internal customer needs.
Main duties include requirements gathering from stakeholders, schedule development, prioritizing tasks, management of inter-team dependencies, and coordination of delegated tasks to the necessary IT delivery resources or external service delivery providers for on-time, on-budget successful execution through project closeout.
This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Cyber/IT PMO & Business Relationships.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the liaison between IT service teams and Motional business units to ensure collaboration, coordination, and documentation of business requirements.
Partner across the IT functional groups including Network Infrastructure, Applications, End User Experience, and Enterprise Security to successfully convert requirements into technical specs, resulting in achievable implementation tasks, timelines, and milestones for solution development and delivery on assigned projects.
Serve as a point of contact for teams managing cross-team dependencies to ensure actions remain in synergy and on schedule.
Manage day-to-day program execution, tracking progress against business and program-level milestones, driving key decisions at the leadership and working level, addressing program blockers, and resolving inefficiencies.
Provide guidance and organization throughout the process including but not limited to project cadences, communications, readouts/dashboards, prioritization/dependency identification & realignment of resources.
Interface with external vendors to ensure correct execution of the defined delivery SoWs.
Proactively monitor/manage program and project status across multiple activities mitigating program risks to achieve targeted deliverables on schedule and on budget.
Maintain a technical understanding of the projects across the entire project lifecycle.
Manage project backlog and task prioritization using internal project management methodology and tools.
Work in a fast-paced work environment across multiple time zonesWhat We're Looking For:
Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes, IT solution development, and service deployment.
Experience with requirements gathering and facilitating functions to a viable solution design.
Experience with software development lifecycle/tools/ecosystems and services.
Strong overall understanding of ITIL project management methodologies and associated tools/processes.
Demonstrated execution skills using Waterfall as well as Agile Waterfall methods.
10-12 years of experience managing complex fast-paced IT projects spanning multiple teams and organizations, often with conflicting priorities and schedules.

years of experience within IT, IT Consulting, or the High Tech/Software Industry.
BA/BS degree in an Engineering field.
Excellent matrix management resource planning and succinct task scheduling skills.
Effective ability to delegate tasks among their team members to achieve desired results.
Effective organization and time management skills to keep projects on track, and on budget.
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to facilitate issue resolution quickly.
Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills to coordinate with team members and leadership to set expectations, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
Ability to travel when needed.
Bonus Points!Previous experience with managing IT projects, supporting effective Autonomous Vehicle (AV) commercial operations, such as Remote Vehicle Assistance (RVA), network infrastructure, data management, data retention/storage, data loss prevention (DLP) as well as other enterprise security initiatives.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Smartsheet or equivalent project scheduling tools.
Experience in the automotive industry or Autonomous Driving technologyAbility to facilitate the resolution of priority conflicts to ensure a productive work environment.
