We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Entry level Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This is a permanent position in the construction industry, offering the opportunity to work on an array of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will some background in construction or recent degree within construction related field, with a special focus on multifamily and high-density multifamily construction. This role requires a keen eye for quality control, a solid understanding of safety compliance, and a well-rounded skillset in project management.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting the Superintendent in managing all facets of the construction project, including the coordination of subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.2. Ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining a safe and clean jobsite that complies with OSHA safety standards.3. Managing the quality control for the project, including regular inspections to ensure the work meets or exceeds the project quality standards.4. Communicating effectively with the project team and all stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.5. Identifying potential risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies.6. Ensuring all construction activities align with building codes and regulations.7. Assisting in the management of site logistics and material deliveries, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need the following:
1. A minimum of 0-2 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.2. Proven experience in project management, safety compliance, quality control, and construction management.3. Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors effectively.4. Strong knowledge of site management and risk management.5. Familiarity with building codes and regulations.6. Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent, particularly in multifamily and high-density multifamily construction.7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.8. Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.10. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
