Lead Network Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S
Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II
JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Manage the design selection, configuration, and installation of LAN, WAN and security related network infrastructure equipment
Responsible for Tier 2 technical support across various Voice, Video and Data systems, including various network equipment manufacturers and configurations
Construct and manage network documentation including functional/logical diagrams, best practices, reference guides, and compliance checklists
Research and review third-party systems/applications to improve network operational and maintenance capabilities
Coordinate with System Administrators on Data Center infrastructure and system integration
Provide and review documentation in accordance with DoD and various other organizations to ensure continued security compliance
Collaborate with project management teams, civil engineering, and other entities for facility and network system integration
Perform data recovery and backup of networking and associated security systems
Interfacing with commercial and DoD carrier services and managing the system interconnects
Direct liaison with internal and external customers at all levels to manage network infrastructure design for projects and programs
Manage all personnel functions within the section to include hiring, evaluations, discipline and termination
DoD 8570 Information Assurance Level-II or Level-III certification
Other duties as required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience designing, configuring and installing Network Routing/Switch infrastructure
Experience with Cisco equipment
Experience with firewall, VPN and network security devices (Any vendors; Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco and ForcePoint desired)
Exposure to various network security compliance regulations (examples:
RMF and ICD 705)
Network Certification desired (CCNP or equivalent) REQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of specialty are required of this position
In addition, a Lead Network Engineer must possess the following
Qualifications:
Mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of electronics systems to provide consultative services on major development programs
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
Well-developed leadership skills
Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad prospective
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Planning/organizational skills SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $104,000 to $145,600 annually

Travel to remote company work locations may be required
