The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing the HR skills within our organization.
Responsibilities The Part-Time Human Resources Representative will manage various HR functions to ensure compliance with labor laws, provide employee support, and maintain accurate records.
This role works closely with the Paychex Human Resources Business Partner to ensure best practices are followed and provides day-to-day HR services to staff.
Payroll Management Process payroll for all employees, ensuring timesheets are accurate and up to date.
Update employee records in Paychex and process wage garnishments as needed.
Track and manage employee paid time off (PTO), sick days, ensuring accurate calculations and annual adjustments; and other items related to time & attendance Human Resources Compliance & Advisory Act as the primary HR representative, working with the Paychex Human Resources Business Partner to ensure compliance with labor laws, state laws, and HR best practices.
Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
Advise employees on questions regarding payroll, benefits, time off, and employee relations.
Maximizes the use of Paychex and creates process improvements where possible Employee Onboarding & Support Meet with new employees to complete the onboarding process, educating them about organizational policies, benefits, and expectations.
Assist in developing and delivering core HR processes such as hiring, onboarding, and timekeeping, as well as implementing benefits and compensation programs.
Develop and facilitate ongoing training programs for staff and supervisors.
Benefits Administration Manage the employee 401(k) plan, track eligibility, assist with plan changes, and schedule information meetings for staff.
Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and ensure access to accurate and timely information.
Employee Records Management Maintain and audit employee files, ensuring all required documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.
Conduct annual audits of background checks for staff and volunteers.
Administrative & Clerical Support Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support HR operations and various projects.
Respond to employment verification requests.
Assist in managing time off balances and tracking processes.
Experience Previous HR experience Paychex payroll experience a must Working with Paychex Human Resources Business Partners desired Demonstrated flexibilty and ability to work with a team Previous non-profit or Christian church experience a plus Job Type:
