POSITION
Summary:
Under the direction of the Sports Director, this position supervises groups of children and implements YMCA activities regarding safety and the Rockwall.
HOURS:
Monday - Thursday 5pm - 7pmOUR CULTURE:

Essential Functions:
Leads and participates in group activities.
Performs related skills with children ages 8 months to 12 years old.
Follows specific YMCA Camp Standard Operating Procedures.

, check-in/out of participants, parent greeting, cleaning and straightening of supplies).
Implements program activities and special events.
Promotes and embraces Character Development in curriculum.
Serves as a positive role model for program participants.
Builds and maintains a high standard of member service for all program participants.
Promotes safety as an overriding objective in all programming efforts.
Builds and maintains a high standard of member service with all members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ABUSE RISK MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS1.
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children.
2.
Attend required abuse risk management training.
3.
Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
4.
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
5.
Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current CPR, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen CertificationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:
