The purpose of the Employment Specialist is to increase client success in attaining employment and financial stability.
The focus will be on clients who are engaged in programs with our agency, helping them to prepare for, seek and interview for gainful employment in cooperation with our employment partners.
Ideal person will work within our established program providing the following primary services to our clients:
The individual will be responsible for providing career counseling/recruitment services.
Assist and guiding clients in employment strategies that lead to career-oriented employment.
Complete enrollment process by inputting client in to HMIS- Complete initial assessment - How client can be assisted, what services is client seeking, employment experience.
Receive client referral- verify that all needed information need was sent in correctly Contact client within 24 hours referral was sent.
Identifies client barriers to successful employment.
Provides employment and career services, education, and training services as needed to assist clients in becoming self-sufficient.
Provides intensive file and case management assisting clients in overcoming barriers that inhibit success in employment or training.
Serve as an advocate for clients as needed.
Tracks client progress and modifies as necessary, reviews progress of monthly goals.
Accurately and timely records program data in the MIS system and accurately maintains all necessary forms.
Maintains client contact to monitor success and provides follow up services as necessary.
Manages a case load that may vary from 50-75 unique and individual clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Attributes:
Computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and consistency in data entry Top-notch organizational skills Bi-lingual preferred Ability to conduct mock interviews Resume and Cover Letter writing skills Ability to match candidates with job openings and unadvertised opportunities Ability to collaborate with employers, and candidates and diverse groups of people Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, motivated, impeccable integrity, and work ethic.
Personable, patient, compassionate, and cares about others.
Perform all duties in an exemplary manner, including professional wardrobe, attitude towards staff and clients, work ethic, and punctuality.
Education and
Experience:
1-2 years' experience in human resources, recruiting or staffing agency, or similar position within a nonprofit or other organization/business preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
