The Salvation Army Owens Campus in Las Vegas is looking to fill a Driver position for the Veterans Services section.
The successful candidate for this position will have experience working with homeless and or at-risk veterans and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Driver position will pick up and drop off passengers to their destinations and deliver important documents to required destinations.
This person will choose the best routes using maps or GPS and to be efficient and maintain a time schedule.
The Driver will be required to make sure to keep all vehicles clean, fueled and proper fluid levels, and that vehicle maintenance is done on time.
QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a valid Nevada Driver License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check Minimum 5 years driving experience Experience working with homeless and or at-risk veterans preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff and community partners Veteran status preferred Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
