Job Description:
It is the primary responsibility of the EVS Specialist to maintain the cleanliness of the property, both indoors and outdoors. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Clean and polish marble using proper techniques and equipment.
Dust tops of slot machines, chandeliers, ceiling vents, facades, and wall decorations using proper equipment and safety procedures.
Drive street sweepers, ride-on vacuums, genie lifts, and other related machinery to complete assigned tasks.
Scrub and extract carpets using proper techniques and equipment.
Scrub, strip, and wax floors using proper techniques and equipment.
Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas.
Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneath.
Remove all rubbish from trash containers and transport to proper disposal.
Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning.
Maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly manner in accordance with instructions.
Perform dusting, mopping, and pan sweeping as necessary.
Provide service and information to guests in a friendly manner; contact supervisor when unable to accommodate guests' needs.
Maintain the highest cleanliness standards of the property.
Sweep around slot areas and clean slot machines, chairs, ashtrays, slot stands, walls, pillars, storage boxes, and outside of change booths.
Clean restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning urinals and toilets with proper chemicals, wiping down walls and mirrors, and vacuuming carpets.
Maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly manner as instructed by Supervisor.
Dust mop and wet mop marble floors and vacuum walkway carpets.
Sweep sidewalks and driveway and replace full trash bags with clean bags.
Vacuum carpets, dust shelves and cabinets, wipe down walls, baseboard, and clean windows and mirrors.
Remove trash from assigned areas.
Report maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
Report emergency repairs or situations to Supervisor and/or Security immediately.
Ask minors to step out of the Gaming Areas.
Report any suspicious activity.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
At least 1 year of experience working on various floor surfaces using related cleaning, buffing, and extraction equipment.
At least 6 months of experience as a Porter or similar position.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
