Job Description:
Clean carpet, upholstery, glass table tops and windows.
Polish marble.
Complete dusting of high / elevated areas.
Pull bed and nightstands out away from wall for dusting.
Deliver a variety of items including bedspreads, blankets, and robes and cleaning supplies to floors.
Rearrange furniture inside the guest rooms per guest request.
Deliver and pick up items needed or those which have been repaired from Engineering Department.
Work with bonnet machine, extractor, and furniture cleaning machine (CFR) to remove stains from chairs and couches.
Clean up bio-hazard from carpeted areas.
General cleaning of guest rooms.
Report torn carpet, wall finishes and damaged furniture to be repaired to the Supervisor.
Clean removable marks, dirt and dust from baseboards.
Bonnet 24 rooms and shampoo 14 rooms a day.
Performs other job related duties as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
At least 3 months of experience in general carpet cleaning.
At least 3 months of experience with maintenance on various floor surfaces including marble using related cleaning, buffing and extraction equipment.
Familiarity with upholstery cleaning machine, wet vacuum and vacuums.
Excellent customer service skills.
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
