Paralegal

The responsibilities of the available paralegal positions may include, but are not limited to:
Receiving and reviewing all correspondence and documents received by mail, electronic service, fax and courier
Calendaring/docketing all necessary deadlines from correspondence and documents received by mail, electronic service, fax and courier
Drafting, preparing, proofreading, finalizing, filing and serving pleadings and discovery, such as summonses, subpoenas, complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses and all moving papers
Drafting and serving correspondence
Electronically filing documents with state and federal e-filing systems
Preparing trial binders and exhibits
Summarizing deposition transcripts, job file documents and medical records
Attending inspections and preparing reports of findings/observations
Indexing and maintaining case files
Preparing inter-office memorandums
Preparing litigation tracking matrices
Handling general office tasks as needed (i.e. faxing, scanning, answering incoming calls, administrative tasks, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to track time and tasks and produce an average of 6.5-8.0 billable hours per day
Detail oriented
Strong written and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects at once
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
Computer proficiency
Ability to follow directions as given
Possess good follow through skills and common sense
Ability to work with clients, experts, insurance adjusters and vendors in a professional manner
Previous legal experience

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
