It is the primary responsibility of the Bus Person to maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the Market Caf and keep the side stations clean as well as run food items from production kitchen to Caf and replenish supplies. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Vdara policies, practices, and procedures.
Greet all guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome.
Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques, and service delivery of all items.
Provide excellent service consistent with Forbes standards and follow sequence of service utilizing proper procedures standardized by department.
Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain composure with difficult owners and guests in demanding situations.
Work as a team, assisting all guests and employees needs and inquiries.
Assists guests with high chairs and boosters; ensure they are clean and wiped before returning them to the storage areas.
Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known, and encourage them to return.
Complete opening and closing duties such as setting up or breaking down work station with required place, tools, equipment and supplies; inspecting the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies; checking production schedule and pars; establishing priority items for the day and informing the manager or Chef of any merchandise and/or supplies that need to be requisitioned.
Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guest.
Pack the orders as per guests' preference and complete the order.
Run food items from production kitchen.
Bus and clean all dirty tables, dishes removed from Market Cafe and brought to dishroom.
May serve food or beverages, or provide other Dining Services, at banquets and other group events held at Vdara.
Make certain all products and supplies are rotating on a first-in, first-out philosophy.
Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
Refill and stock all supplies and machines within the outlet.
Collecting, gathering and removal trash from Market Cafe.
Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of Market Cafe.
Stocks towels in work area with proper concentration of sanitizing solution.
Count, inspect, and check in merchandise, including applying sensor devices.
Responsible for transporting orders between retail stores and storages cages and stock rooms.
Assist with proper merchandising execution to maximize sales, earnings, and customer satisfaction.
Stock shelves, fold, hang and place merchandise in stock rooms, cages, and selling floor.
Keep stock rooms and cages clean, organized and stocked with merchandise.
Ensure that all items are priced, ticketed, and displayed properly.
Prepare merchandise for shipping to customers and to vendors.
Assist in preparing for and conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
Occasionally place orders and organize inventory on a computer.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions. Apply and retain knowledge covered in sessions.
Notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, and/or alleged thefts. Notify manager on duty of any guest concerns or disputes that cannot be readily resolved.
Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and Hotel requirements.
Follow all Federal, State and Local alcohol regulations.
Adhere to all responsible alcohol consumption requirements; use authority to refuse drinks to owners and guests who show signs of intoxication or disorderly conduct.
Perform all other job related duties as requested.
Required:
At least 2 years experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume restaurant environment.
Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
Working knowledge of kitchen equipment to include, but not limited to a blenders, coffee makers, small wares equipment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
