Job Description
Summary:
It is the responsibility of the Sales Coordinator to provide administrative support to the sales team, greet and assist visitors, answer/route incoming calls and collect/distribute detailed sales lead information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Solicit and procure group room request. Offer group availability in accordance with established parameters with an emphasis on filling off peak periods with Ad Hoc, SMERF groups and corporate meetings.
Responsible for coordinating group requirements with all operational departments within the hotel.
Responsible for setting up files, sending proposals processing deposits, payments, rooming lists, group specification sheets, showroom bookings, coupon requirements and other correspondence as required.
Responsible for maintaining lost business report files and tracking tentative and definite business by market segment.
Maintain relationship with current and prospective clients.
Conducts FAM Tours, Site inspections and represents The Golden Nugget, and Las Vegas at Trade/Consumer shows, presentations and other functions designated.
Responsible for group departure interview, follow-up thank you letter with critique form, and evaluation of suggestions to improve servicing of groups, re-solicits groups.
Conduct research, telemarketing and other projects as directed.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Previous hotel experience required, hotel sales experience preferred
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
