EXECUTIVE FELLOW PROGRAM
Kindred's Executive Fellow Program is a very selective program that provides across-the-board training and development for individuals seeking leadership careers in post acute care. Fellows gain an in-depth understanding of Kindred's strategy and an understanding of the clinical and administrative functions in settings across our care continuum. In addition to leadership and operational training, you will experience hands-on learning with a full immersion through rotations in our hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in order to build the skills for successful post acute care administration. Following a structured leadership curriculum and rotation in the first year, Fellows are given the opportunity to align their professional goals with organizational opportunities
The three week leadership academy focuses on individual leadership, team leadership, and a comprehensive business case study
The program has a strong track record of success with previous Fellows moving up into significant leadership roles both inside and outside of the organization.
Relocation may be required at the completion of the Executive Fellowship Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote the Kindred mission, vision and values with employees and customers.
Assist the CEO/ED with establishing financial and programmatic goals for the facility and conduct an annual evaluation of goal achievement.
Provide input into the annual operating budget.
Monitor Monthly performance of areas of responsibility in relation to the budget and intervene as needed.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring and orientation/training for a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out facility programs and services.
Assist in the interpretation and implementation of governing board policies and procedures.
In conjunction with CEO/ED, maintain and guide the implementation of facility policies and procedures in compliance with corporate, state, federal, and other regulatory guidelines.
Prepare and submit reports on facility operation, as required.
Work closely with sales/marketing staff to set strategies for promotion and expansion of the facility's programs/services within the community.
Ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Attend and/or conduct facility meetings, as required, to carry out responsibilities.
Attend corporate management meetings, as required.
Ensure adequate preparation for, and participate in, regulatory compliance surveys.
Maintain effective relationships and open communication with residents, families, staff, contractors and the outside community.
Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
Assist CEO/ED in creating and maintaining an atmosphere of in which employees demonstrate respect warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
Ensure that residents, visitors and employees are treated with respect and compassion as evidenced by satisfaction surveys
Adhere to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree (MBA or MHA) required
2-3 years of healthcare experience preferred
Managerial experience preferred
Expresses excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with employees, patients, physicians, referral sources, regulatory agencies, vendors or members of the community
Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state regulations governing hospital operations, financial, business and clinical necessary to direct patient care and hospital operations
Exhibits a current working knowledge of financial operations and management
Displays strong leadership and management ability for all levels of employees
Demonstrated ability to conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws and applicable professional standards
Exhibit sound judgment, ability to act decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Aptitude to read, analyze and interpret professional and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Proven skills in directing and motivating others
Strong organizational and prioritization skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
