The Program Manager is responsible for the development of new community partnerships and participates in coordinating special events for homeless Veterans such as Stand Downs ( currently 3 each year) and the Point in Time (PIT) Count. Building and maintaining community partnerships with the VA and the community; leading SSVF coordination, serve as alternate for the Chief, SWS on the high level of the CoC Board; coordinate VA outreach in addition to all community outreach teams serving veterans; recruiting and retaining community partners to provide services at the CRRC; strong oversight and leadership role on the HUD mandated coordinated intake oversight Committee; and providing VA leadership and vision regarding all homeless initiatives (Federal, State, and Local). Actively participate in local and state homeless coordinating committees throughout the state of Nevada. Will participate on committees and work groups is consistent but can also evolve due to need or a focused initiative. Provides the day-to-day supervision for the staff of the CRRC Assessment Team, Outreach Team and the Justice Team; including the support staff assigned to these teams. Has administrative responsibility for a large multidisciplinary team., 4 peer support specialists, I registered nurse, I program support assistant and 4 MSAs. They provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Responsible for monitoring the delivery of social work professional services within the teams identified and has involvement in identification of qualified MSW candidates for vacant positions; development of functional statements and performance standards for other social work positions within their supervisory line; and rating of performance appraisals. Makes decisions on work problems presented by staff, supervisors, and managers throughout the Medical Center, as they relate directly to CRRC Intake, Outreach and Justice Services. Develops work improvement plans and recommends personnel actions as necessary. Invokes disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area and recommends awards and changes in position classification to the Chief of Social Work Service. Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests. The CRRC Coordinator will provide supervisor coverage for all Homeless Programs as needed. The CRRC Program Manager is responsible for managing the administrative and clinical operations of the CRRC Assessment, Outreach and Justice Programs. In addition, the Social Worker must develop a working familiarity and collegial relationship with staff at the programs and community agencies providing Veteran housing. Provides a great deal of consultation and demonstrates possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, with at least two years of experience in an area of specialized social work practice. Offers consultation to colleagues and students regarding the psychosocial and risk assessment included in every Veteran's housing assessment. Responsible for reviewing and monitoring quarterly workload and prepares periodic reports as required for these programs. Physical Requirements:

The work is primarily sedentary, although the stress involved in dealing continually with persons in emotional distress and who may be uncooperative and occasionally violent makes this work notably more demanding than most sedentary jobs. Qualifications:
Citizenship. Be a citizen of the United States. Education. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Licensure. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. In addition to minimum qualifications, each applicant must meet the grade requirements set forth below in order to be considered Minimally Qualified at the grade level offered in this vacancy announcement. Social Worker (Program Coordinator), GS-13 (1) Experience/Education. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidates may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. (2) Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. (3) Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs. (a) Skill in coordinating and implementing one or more specialty program(s), across the facility. (b) Skill in local policy and practice development, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program as prescribed by the program handbook or national directive. (c) Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). (d) Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to further program goals and enhance patient centered care. (e) Ability to provide the full range of supervisory duties including assignment of work to be performed; performance evaluations; and selection of staff, training, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action. (f) Ability to oversee the fiscal matters of the functions supervised (including fund controls, contracts, and equipment expenditures), forecast resource and equipment needs, and administer the allocated budget. (g) Knowledge of organizational structure and impact on program operations. Tour of Duty:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
