To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled. To qualify for a GS-12:
One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-11) in Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level includes experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs; evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations; and providing technical guidance and administrative functions in the following areas:
personnel, engineering, information technology, budget, geographic information systems (GIS), heavy equipment, and maintenance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level. Physical Demands:
Work is usually sedentary; however incumbent will be called upon to travel at short notice and at other than normal working hours. May on occasion be required to drive long distances for long periods of time to attend meetings or conduct necessary work. Some heavy lifting may be necessary. Standing for long periods of time may also be required. Work Environment:
Work is usually performed within an office environment with some travel to attend meetings or to review field operations. On occasion, the incumbent will be required to work in harsh environments that exceed 100 degrees temperatures. The incumbent may, on occasion, be required to drive/fly long distances for extended periods of time to attend meeting or conduct field reviews. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
