Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication. Edits letters, composes letters and reports, reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness. prepares public presentation outlines, and develops standard or form letters and replies to inquiries. Prepares a variety of recurring reports, reviewing outgoing correspondence for proper attachments, or consolidating/coordinating submittals of information. Researches files and assembles background information on the subject of incoming material prior to referral. Creates tracking systems for proficiencies, leave utilization, staffing and ongoing projects/concerns. Responsible for reviewing documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies. Schedules appointments, coordinates meetings, and/or schedules conferences. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work Schedule:

Typing skills; fully qualified typist required Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft programs. Knowledge of good grammar and sentence structure, correct spelling and punctuation, and required formats. Knowledge of the organizational function and procedures of the Behavioral Health Care Line to perform such duties as distribute and control mail, appropriately refer phone calls and visitors, and provide general information. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Communicate both orally and in writing; Ability to use office automation equipment such as Microsoft Office; file; able to apply time management skills; Ability to work with veteran population within a clinical environment; skill in proofreading correspondence; ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:
